This Year’s Educator of the Year Award Goes To…

We are thrilled to announce the Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School Educator of the Year, Rivkah Einsidler Halpert! Join us on Wednesday, June 5 for our Annual Dinner as we honor Rivkah alongside 3 other honorees in support of our Synagogue and Jewish Education.

Rivkah Einsidler Halpert, daughter of Rabbi Harold and Toby Einsidler, has been connected with Park East Synagogue since birth.  She has served for the past 32 years as an Early Childhood Educator at the Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School.  Rivkah has also served as Program Director of the Day School’s Summer Program for many years and worked at the Youth Enrichment Center.  Rivkah proudly serves on the Park East Synagogue Sisterhood Board and was honored with the Community Service Award in 2017.

Rivkah also functions as the leader of the Junior Congregation Tot Shabbat Program for over 25 years at the Fifth Avenue Synagogue, in addition to her responsibilities as the Director of the Rennert Mikvah.

Rivkah graduated with a B.A. in Education from Stern College of Yeshiva University, and received a Board of Jewish Education of Greater New York Certificate in Jewish Early Childhood Education in 1992.  She earned an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College in 1996.

Rivkah, and her husband Yisroel of blessed memory, are the proud parents of Park East students, Estee (Zach), Dovid, Chavie and Yair, and proud Grandmother to Liam.  Rivkah has dedicated her life’s work to Jewish Education where she imbues and enthralls the inestimable number of children she has taught with love for our Jewish traditions. Rivkah is honored and grateful for this recognition of Educator of the Year.
