On Friday, March 19, 2021, the Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School and Park East Synagogue communities surprised Rabbi Arthur Schneier with a celebration of his 91st birthday. The celebration, emceed by comedian Modi Rosenfeld, included remarks from Rabbi Benjamin Goldschmidt, Cantor Benny Rogosnitzky, Principal Barbara Etra and eighth grade student Rosa Marks, music from RASPEDS students and Chief Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, and many virtual well wishes from RASPEDS students and Rabbi Schneier’s friends and colleagues.
In her speech, Rosa shared what she has learned as a student at RASPEDS how Rabbi Schneier has inspired her to make the world a better place, stating, “Thank you, Rabbi Schneier, for giving me, and so many others, this opportunity to experience what it is like to be a part of this amazing community that you have gathered.
