Rabbi Arthur Schneier, Dean of Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School, and Audrey Feuerstein, Chair of the School’s Board of Education, announced today that Mrs. Debbie Rochlin has been promoted to Principal. She currently serves as Director of Admissions and Director of Early Childhood.
The School also announced the retirement of current Principal Barbara Etra and its search for a new Head of School who will assume her responsibilities. Debbie will also serve as Interim Head of School for the duration of the search.
“Debbie’s contributions to the RASPEDS community cannot be overstated. Over the course of her 27-year tenure, her dedication to her students and their families has shaped the nurturing and supportive environment that makes our school unique and helps each student shine,” Schneier and Feuerstein wrote in a statement. “In addition to her excellence as an educator, Debbie is a dynamic, collaborative leader and an inspiring educator whose enthusiasm and dedication to every child is widely respected.”
In her new role, Debbie will serve as a liaison between RASPEDS teachers, parents and administrators, fostering these key relationships on behalf of the institution, in addition to running a successful Early Childhood and Summer Program. She will assume her new duties on July 1.
Debbie joined the RASPEDS faculty as a Floater Teacher in 1994 and has previously held the roles of Early Childhood Teacher, Assistant Director of Early Childhood, Associate Director of Early Childhood and Associate Director of Admissions.
