Visiting Dignitaries Program

Due to Rabbi Schneier's international, political, and religious connections, students at Park East are afforded the unique opportunity to meet world leaders regularly.

When these distinguished colleagues – including ambassadors, religious leaders, and United Nations representatives – visit Park East, students often have the opportunity to meet and greet them, in addition to learning about their religion and country of origin.

In this way, Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School students gain a practical education in current events and world geography. Recent distinguished visitors have included:

  • His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I
  • H.E. Maria Kaczynska, First Lady of Poland
  • Hon. Gianni Alemano, Mayor of Rome
  • H.E. Gordon Bajnai, Prime Minister of Hungary
  • His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI
  • President Jorge Sampaio, former president of Portugal
  • Hon. Peter Megdeszyi, former PM of Hungary
  • Dr. Andrea Kdalsky, Federal Minister of Health and Family, Austria
